If a parent comment is deleted or moved it will be replaced by a stub indicating that the post no longer exists. All replies to the original post will remain visible.
A direct reply to a post can be considered as a quote of the entire referenced post. As your reply will be visible directly beneath the post, the additional quote context will not be necessary. To quote only a section of the post, highlight the area of the post you wish to quote, and a new action will appear allowing you to insert that segment of the post into your reply automatically.
